Responsibilities
- Enhance realism: Add depth and realism to 3D models by applying high-quality textures and realistic lighting effects.
- Visual storytelling: Use lighting and texturing to create mood, atmosphere, and visual appeal, enhancing the overall impact of the environment.
- Optimization: Ensure that all textures and lighting setups are optimized for game engines without compromising visual quality.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the 3D modeling and environment teams to integrate textures and lighting seamlessly into the final assets.
- Problem-solving: Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to lighting and texturing that may arise during the production process.
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in lighting and texturing for 3D models, with a portfolio demonstrating expertise in creating realistic environments.
- Software skills: Proficiency in texturing tools like Substance Painter, Photoshop, and lighting software used in game development.
- Understanding of lighting techniques: Strong knowledge of various lighting techniques, color theory, and how to create realistic light setups in both real-time and pre-rendered environments.
- Attention to detail: Ability to produce textures that enhance the realism and visual impact of 3D models while maintaining efficiency for real-time use.
- Creative mindset: Innovative approach to adding visual depth and enhancing the storytelling aspect of the game’s environments.
